when i was trying to find a solution adequate to the philosophic base we were discussing it seemed that the true solution would be analogous to the problem: a medium in itself. in its true form the virtual library has been there for a long time, we are speaking about the internet in all its various and distributed, networked characteristics. it is not so much a solution of surface but of non-materialistic ideas and instant transfers. this does hardly confine to a specific form. when i arrived at the point where i thought of the world as one giant human brain, unconsciously working on various things at the same time, i lost interest in the architectural project. instead, i was never more interested in neurological research and the spatio-temporal relations within nerve cells and entire brains. in the end, i stopped working on the project because my mind went off with all the other inspirations and did not return to the virtual library... |
